Chemicals Background - What Are The Many Benefits?

Chemicals Background - What Are The Many Benefits?Chemistry backgrounds are becoming popular today as people are fascinated with the vast knowledge of chemistry that they can learn from these subjects. People are not only learning to appreciate their own personal chemistry but those of other people in the form of the history of science and how it has helped us evolve as a species. There are several ways that a person can get a chemistry background, including a lot of online education, and also school programs which cater for the needs of this field.Chemistry is one of the most popular field of study that has been around for centuries. Even though we have now perfected it as a scientific field it still does not fall under the category of sciences. We can also say that it is a branch of the natural sciences that studies compounds or atomic elements that react with each other to form new things. These might include drugs, food additives, paints, pesticides, organic materials and others. Chemistry does not just contain an activity like creating chemistry methods but it also includes explaining its structure and how it works in an object. The person must then decide what kind of chemistry they would like to pursue, be it a work at home chemistry program or going to a university or college that offers classes. If you want to have a good chemistry background, it is essential that you take up a course at a high school where you could learn how to carry out experiments on simple substances. This may include handling a laboratory and doing experiments. Once you get enough experience from working in the lab, your interest will lead you to explore various areas of chemistry. It is quite common for people to take up a science degree because of the wide scope of careers that can be done with this knowledge. While there are many ways to get chemistry backgrounds, online education is one of the best options. Many people prefer to get their education online so that they can take c ourses at their own pace. This way you do not have to spend much time away from your family in school and can focus more on your life instead. While you would be able to choose your school, you must also consider the kind of classes that you would like to take. This could be at a college where you could learn the basics, or a university where you can advance your studies or even be taken on a field course that will enable you to delve into the ins and outs of chemistry. The important thing is that you know that you will be gaining knowledge on a given subject.Whether you take up a chemistry class or a class that will delve into your background, you should always remember that chemistry is a field of study that has long been used and accepted by scientists. Therefore it is not a hard subject to get a background in.

Well, the answer is pretty simple. When we draw in 2D (two dimensions), we produce a sketch on our paper with no sense of volume. All that is really taken into account is the width and height of our object. But when we draw in 3D, we include a third dimension: depth. It’s stating the obvious to say that drawing in 3D makes a drawing more realistic, considering that it’s more faithful to the small details that the eye observes in reality. It copies reliefs and distances, and keeps the same proportions as in reality, for instance when drawing a face. From putting into perspective to grasping optical illusions, 3D drawing takes various forms and requires strong competency in drawing. How do artists completely master these drawing techniques? How can you give the illusion that a flat drawing jumps off the page? The first thing you need to know for creating volume in a drawing is how to draw in perspective. How do I Draw in Perspective?Perspective is the technique which allows you to draw an object in space in three dimensions. The drawer takes into account the depth of the scene and reproduces the object as it is perceived from their own point of view.Learn basic techniques to mimic reality. Photo on VisualHunt.comCavalier perspective consists of giving an object volume by adding a structure of parallel lines. This is a type of drawing that we predominantly fin d in geometry to represent a cube, for example.Linear perspective is often used in drawing. In order to create a good linear perspective, we generally concentrate on these two elements:A horizon lineOne or more vanishing points. From these elements, by drawing lines we can create a grid that will work as visual guides for drawing the various parts of our scene. There are many different types of linear perspectives, which helps the drawer create depth and volume in their work:Frontal perspective: the eye is facing the scene front-on. The drawing is based on the horizon line at eye level, and all the lines meet at one sole vanishing point.Oblique perspective: we see this in two directions. The composition has two vanishing points. This type of perspective uses two vanishing points, allowing you to draw cubes and other geometric shapes by taking into account their real shape and depth.Aerial perspective: here we take into account all the dimensions of the object by working on its represe ntation with three vanishing points. This is the most realistic perspective, predominantly used in architecture to represent furniture, for example.Mastering drawing in perspective is necessary to create a realistic drawing and give it volume, such as drawing a hand for example. Drawing in 3D is not about improvisation. You need to really use your eyes and take in the proportions of your object as faithfully as possible. Representing characters or objects by properly observing the effects of depth is crucial for great 3D drawing.Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa is an example of the atmospheric perspective technique. Photo on VisualHunt.comSome artists use another type of perspective as well: atmospheric perspective. It could be compared to a camera and its focus. This perspective is based on impressions. This means that whatever is in the foreground is drawn in a clear and precise way, but the more you look in depth, the more the details are unclear. Some artists also play on colours an d gradients as well to create this effect of depth: the cooler the colours, the less precise the details of the scene. This is a technique developed and used by Flemish painters of the 15th century, but it is also seen in the work of Leonardo da Vinci, notably in the Mona Lisa. How Do I Create an Optical Illusion Effect in a Drawing? Those who master the art of drawing in perspective achieve an even more impressive result in their work. The objects seem to literally jump of the page and come to life. When a drawing is successful it gives the impression of coming to life and really takes on three dimensions. It’s a great start for designing an eye-catching company logo too! This impression is an optical illusion, which is only noticeable from one specific angle. When you look at an anamorphic drawing you have to look at it a certain way in order to see the result in 3D. From any other angle, you’ll only see a distorted image. How Do I Create a Picture that Jumps off the Page?Learn to b ring your drawings to life with some simple techniques. Photo credit: Abi Skipp on Visual HuntYou need to learn the right technique. It’s not only necessary to know how to distort an image correctly, but for the result to be really realistic, you also need to master basic drawing techniques. There are quite a few steps to get from the first sketch to the finished piece. You will to know how to draw each detail of your subject, and also how to paint or colour your drawing for effect. To create an anamorphic drawing, you’ll need to distort the image that you wish to represent on paper. The main techniques that will help you draw an anamorphic image are:Use a camera to capture your object in a photo, which you can print or display to help you sketch it accuratelyUse computer software to distort the object that you wish to represent so that you can draw it easilyUse a grid system to draw the object in its correct proportionsCut out part of the outline of the drawing to reinforce the 3D impressionUse multiple sheets or fold a sheet to achieve the desired volume effectMany artists have been able to master the art of anamorphic drawing, such as Leon Keer and Kurt Wenner. You can sometimes even come across 3D art on the ground or on walls in public spaces. Many street artists produce striking realist pieces.Between gaping holes in the middle of the pavement and sharks protruding from the road, there are many performances from artists such as Edgar Mueller and Julian Beever, for example, that are really impressive. You could even use this technique to design your own tattoo! It’s an innovative tool which operates on the same principle as a 3D printer. The 3D pen allows you to write and draw in 3 dimensions with its simple function: the pen heats the plastic, which cools when released onto a support. This means you can create 3D structures really easily and quickly. You can use an object to help you draw contours in 3D, build parts and assemble them, or simply let your imagination run free!A 3D pen can contain one of two types of plastic: ABS or PLA. The choice of plastic that you opt for is important for different types of projects.ABS is a material that cools instantly, so it’s ideal for 3D drawing. It’s a plastic made from petroleum, which allows you to easily create different shapes which will hold their structure well. You can make all sorts â€" straight and curved lines, spirals, and geometric shapes. It’s also very useful for 2D writing creations that you can peel off and use as you wish.PLA cools less rapidly, taking longer to solidify. PLA is mainly composed of starch and natural materials, and is biod egradable. It is better suited for 3D writing as it adheres well to a support, such as cardboard, metal or ceramics. It’s useful for drawing 2D images that won’t peel off.How do I choose a 3D pen?Browse the market for the perfect 3D pen to suit your needs! How to prepare for the 11 Plus interview

How to prepare for the 11 Plus interview If your child has reached the interview stage of the 11 Plus exam at an independent school, congratulations! They are one step closer to that offer, and they’ve already done extremely well. The interview process is difficult to prepare for: schools will be looking for confident and articulate students. We asked one of our top tutors and 11 Plus experts, James M, to share some of the most common 11 Plus interview questions… Introductory and warm-up questions Tell me about yourself! How would your friends describe you? Describe yourself using 3 adjectives Tell me about your hobbies and interests. What is your favourite subject? What book are you reading at the moment? Tell me about it and describe it using adjectives. General questions Why do you want to come to our school? What’s the difference between our school and the school you are coming from? Tell me about a lesson that you really enjoyed. What made it so enjoyable? If you were head of our school, what changes would you make? What makes a good teacher? What do you find hard at school,   and what do you do when you find something hard? Why are you suited for our school? Have you visited our school before? What did you think? Do you have any questions for us? Specific academic questions and tasks What is the difference between volume and area? 22  + 32  + 42 =  ? What is the product of 12 and 5? Read this poem aloud. What is your favourite literary technique and why? What is the meaning of the word ______ (insert word) Tell me your favourite metaphor/simile/personification. Brain teasers Is it possible to have a box with nothing inside? What is bravery? What would the world be like if it was ruled by monkeys? Is there more happiness or sadness in the world? What is more important, being right or being nice? What colour would a zebra be if it lost all its stripes? If I borrow a million pounds, am I a millionaire? How many bricks make a wall? If I take the engine out of a car, is it still a car? Answering the questions James has also put together some of his top tips for students who have an 11+ interview coming up. Before the interview, students should: Look at the school website and write down three interesting things that you like Try and visit the school and talk to pupils/teachers. Remember who you spoke to and what you liked about the experience Practise with a parent / teacher / friend! During the interview: When first meeting teachers always smile, shake hands and make eye contact Make sure you answer the question! Talk for about 5-10 seconds for each answer, because any more than that is too long, and any less may make you seem shy Think of examples for your all answers by incorporating your hobbies and interests. You might like playing a musical instrument but give more detail: “I play piano grade 4 and play in the school band”. This is much better than just saying “I play piano”. For the brainteasers, think about the wording of the question. For example, “What is bravery?” To answer this, think of things that are brave and things that are not brave. What do all the things that are brave have in common? Similarly, with “How many bricks make a wall?” you could think about what a wall is. A wall can just be a barrier between two things, so a single brick could be a wall (especially to a small insect). For a human though a barrier would have to be bigger! Remember, these questions don’t really have a right or wrong answer, they are meant to test how you think. Good luck! James M is one of our top 11+ tutors. With over 10 years of experience, James has prepared students for some of the most competitive schools, including Westminster, Eton, Latymer and St Paul’s. As well as being a fantastic private tutor, James has also organised mock exam sessions through his own exam preparation consultancy. Interested in booking a lesson with James? Six Tips for Building Your Teens Confidence

Six Tips for Building Your Teen’s Confidence The teen years can be exciting, tumultuous and full of change. Some teens take it all in stride while others struggle with the impending life decisions and the overall stress of school. One of the best things you as a parent can do to help your teen is build his or her confidence. Confident teens have a good attitude about school, are persistent and tend to weather the ups and downs effectively. What can you do to bolster your teens confidence? Here are six tips: Let your teen struggle. Often, learning occurs when teens have to muddle through things and figure them out for themselves. Resist the urge to step in and fix problems for your teen. Over-helping with homework and problem solving does your teen no favors in the long run. Encourage goal setting. Goal setting is a valuable process for many reasons. It gets your teen thinking about the future, keeps him or her focused on how to achieve important endeavors, and guides your teen toward personal growth. That said, it is important that you let your teen own this process. Its fine to get your teens wheels turning and offer ideas and support, but the goals themselves should be your teensnot your goals for your teen. Teach your teen to care about what he or she can control. Everyone tries and fails sometimes. Remind your teen to take pride in his or her efforts and diligence rather than focus solely on desired outcomes. Acknowledge the development that occurs when your teen puts in the work. Nudge your teen toward taking risks. Playing it safe all the time limits growth. Your teen might one day go on to start a business or have a job that requires frequent decision making based on different pros/cons and risk factors. Taking calculated risks and pushing oneself to try new things have advantagesand your teen will learn from any missteps. Put your teen in charge. Hopefully you have given your teen the opportunity to make decisions often throughout his or her life, but this is especially important in high school. Your teen needs to learn how to weigh options and be decisiveand also how to pivot to try new approaches after making poor decisions. Be a good role model. Mom and Dad, dont underestimate the influence you can have on your teen every single day. Take pride in your accomplishments. Try something new and give it your best. Learn from your mistakes and share with your teen how you do soand how you grow from the experience. Confidence isnt something that you can simply give to your teen, but you are in a great position to help him or her nurture and develop it. Believe in your teen and express that faith in his or her abilities. The long-term benefits of a confident mindset are so great that your efforts are definitely worthwhile.

How to Approach a Teacher About an Unfair Grade

How to Approach a Teacher About an Unfair Grade If you received a grade on a test, assignment, or paper that you feel is in error, you should definitely approach the instructor or professor to discuss and clarify the issue. You may find a mistake has been made and receive a more palatable grade. At the very least you can explore what made your effort subpar and gain some understanding of what the teacher is expecting for the next test or essay. On occasion the teacher may allow you to retake a test or redo a paper if you can demonstrate compelling circumstances. Choose the time and place wisely It is highly unlikely that a high profile, public attempt to change a grade will get you the result you are seeking. Do not confront the teacher during class or when other students are nearby. Take a low-key approach that allows both you and the teacher time and space to discuss the matter respectfully and to explain opposing views without rancor or an audience. Although you could schedule a meeting through an email, take the time to meet face-to-face with your instructor. It is impossible to control the tone of communications and reach a true meeting of minds through an email. Ask when your teacher has at least 20 minutes to meet, preferably in the instructor's office. Prepare thoroughly Before you meet with your teacher, carefully review your test and paper along with any comments the grader has attached. Decide whether you honestly believe you were unfairly graded or whether your effort fell short. If you feel the instructor has not adequately explained matters, keep that on your list of discussion topics, too. Use your study materials to help you decide where the disagreement lies. Here are some ways you might improve your grade: - If the instructor made a mistake: If you feel you gave correct answers that were not assigned proper credit, bring along the materials or notes that substantiate your claim. When meeting with your teacher, politely show the evidence for your position. If an honest mistake was made in grading, the teacher should correct the error and give you the points you deserve. - If you made a forgivable error: Perhaps you did not fully understand the assignment. Maybe you were overwhelmed with other class work and missed an assignment deadline. If you feel you did not put forth your best work because of a one-time circumstance, consider talking with your teacher to see if you can explain the situation and perhaps do some extra work to improve your grade. Be sure that you are honest in this conversation and, if given an additional chance, put forth your very best effort. Know this is an approach that can usually be used only once. - If you are struggling with comprehension: Sometimes the unfairness lies with inadequate preparation or presentation from the teacher or his or her assistants. This is a delicate problem, but if you approach it in a humble and authentic way you may be able to gain the knowledge you need to do better the next time or be given a second chance to show what you know. Bring along the materials you've been assigned and notes taken and ask where you could have found the correct answer or theory. If the concepts are not clearly stated, you may be helping not only yourself but also other students and the teacher when you seek further clarification. Once your discussion is complete, be sure to thank your teacher no matter what the outcome. Keep the entire affair private and move on during the remaining class sessions.

Learning in the 21st Century Are we heading towards the right direction

Learning in the 21st Century Are we heading towards the right direction Since the Internet was created and developed over the decades, the education has never been the same. Students have changed, educators have changed, learning itself has changed. Today, there are so many ways to study anything you want! And you don’t even have to leave home anymore to learn something new. Let’s imagine you want to play a new song on your guitar. Simply go to YouTube and find accurate guitar chords, and a step-by-step explanation. But, then a question springs to mind: what do we need teachers and tutors for if we have the Internet and gadgets that are so easy to use (PC, laptop, tablet, smartphone)? I remember trying to teach myself to play a guitar using only Internet lessons, mostly the ones on YouTube. Unfortunately, after a short sonata by Beethoven that I managed to master, I decided to end my promising music career. Since then, I didnt have the desire neither did I have time to learn anything else. So, back to the question â€" what do we need tutors for in the era of cutting-edge technologies? A good tutor is more than just a teacher. The main goal of a tutor is to do his best to tailor his teaching methods to meet your needs. Every student needs a different approach. This is what a school or university teachers lack. At school, everybody has to study the same curriculum and complete the same exercises. And only the results will be different. What if we try to combine both: new technologies and constant information (knowledge) exchange between a tutor and a student? I would say that it is more than possible nowadays. But keep in mind, distance learning is not for everyone. You have to experiment and find a perfect solution for yourself. Judging from my personal experience, it is unproductive to have Skype-lessons with children and some teenagers, mostly between 6 and 13 years. At this age children tend to distract themselves or not pay attention. It is extremely hard to keep them focused without in-person supervision. In this case, Id recommend in-person tutoring. At TutorZ we encourage students to use multiple tools to become successful. It could be anything, YouTube channels, books, movies, and/or websites like TutorZ.com, where students can always find a highly qualified, friendly and creative tutors.

Language Teachers Learn with Multiple Session Packages

Language Teachers Learn with Multiple Session Packages And now, what youve all been waiting for: Packages! Packages are bundles of sessions that are sold together at one time. We hope this makes it easier for teachers and long-term students to schedule their sessions on italki. Teachers can offer packages for both their courses and one-on-one sessions. As always, teachers set their own prices for both individual sessions and for overall package prices.   We recommend offering a discount for students who choose to purchase your sessions in bulk. In order to start offering packages, teachers should go to edit their teaching profile. Teachers can set packages in bundles of 10, 20, 30, 40, or 50 sessions.   All the sessions within a package must be the same length, for example, 30, 45, 60, 90, or 120 minutes. For students, when you purchase a package, you can schedule as many session as you want (with a minimum of one).   You can reserve the same time every week with a teacher by checking the box repeat weekly. By purchasing the whole package at once, you can generally get a discount from the teacher, so make sure you have enough italki Credits (ITCs) in your account for the whole package. The idea behind packages is to make it easier for long-term students and teachers to transact on italki. By prepaying for a course, and scheduling multiple lessons at once, students and teachers can spend less time on the system, and more time on learning the language. Were still improving the system, so if you have suggestions about packages or what other features youd like to see on italki, please send those to us through our feedback form or via email at (feedback at italki dot com). Tips on Using Japanese Tutor Porn

Tips on Using Japanese Tutor PornMost of the adult websites in Japan are offering a whole lot of Japanese tutor porn which they claim to be an alternative to the paid tutoring services offered by such institutes. But before you go and sign up with any of these tutoring centers, you should first check out the facts so that you don't end up in any wrong hands. As per the definition given by the dictionary, porn is any materials that make sex more enticing. With the English language becoming one of the most sought after worldwide language, most of the people around the world are now getting fascinated with the concept of porn. It is not surprising for these adult websites to try and get hold of the English language by using it as a medium of communicating to people across the globe. This is a business and they are making money out of it. While others might have a different outlook about the term, a lot of teachers have already started using such materials as a source of English language learning tools. Some of them have actually been accused of using such materials to make students focus more on their sex life rather than the subject matter. Such materials have become popular with the so called 'foreigners' who have an interest in sex. This may not be good for the students as they do not have the necessary background knowledge to be able to give their best shot. The materials will definitely bring more confusion for them since the fundamental aspects of the English language have also been translated to the other side of the world. However, this does not mean that there are no teachers who are using such material in the learning process. You will find a lot of websites in Japan, which claim to offer such materials. These websites will surely try and entice you with a lot of words. For example, they might mention that the material is 100% free and if you are going to pay for it, then they would rather refer you to other sites with more expensive features. All these word s in quotes are just meant to attract you to the other site where you would have to pay for a professional writer. These things are all part of the strategy used by the tutors who are running the sites. You can easily determine that the tutors who charge for the services are using such materials in order to get more customers or sell their own wares. While you might prefer to have a good choice of material rather than the best teacher, it is good to know that these materials are totally legal. You do not have to worry about any infractions or anything like that.If you choose to use Japanese tutor porn, then you can't go wrong. But before signing up with any of these sites, you should check the facts so that you don't end up in any wrong hands.
